A Tribute to my friend

Last year I lost a very dear friend. We became friends on Deviantart, and many years later, in 2013, I was very fortunate to meet her in person and spend a few days with her and her family in France, at their holiday house. That's when I really got to know Pat, and found out what a fun,
kind , intelligent, genuine, generous and truly wonderful person she really was.
For the short time we were there, she treated us like family. She spent two days playing tour guide and showing us the beautiful place where she and her family spent 4 months of every year. Thanks to her and her family, we had the most wonderful time.
I will miss her here on Deviantart, and it is sad to lose such a beautiful friend, but it is comforting
I can still see her beautiful paintings, which I have loved and admired throughout our friendship.
Pat painted for the joy of it. She lived an amazing life. In her beautiful work, you can see the beauty of her soul.

It has been a good year for me. So many positive things happening in my life. I'm grateful and thankful for all the blessings life has brought me.

Metropolitan cats Acrylics on canvas 150 cm x 100 cm SOLD
Wow, the year is just flying by so fast! I guess that's what happens when you get old, haha. So it is weird, that I often think of my friends in Canada when I write , due to the fact that I used to live in Canada for 25 years, and now I am living in Melbourne, Australia, on the other side of the planet , where everything is opposite. While my friends and family in Canada and Germany are having their summer, we are in the middle of our winter. Yes, it does get cold over here.
We don't have snow, unless you go for a long drive to the mountains. I think the closest is Mount Bulla. I've never been.

Redbubble has made it really easy to turn my art and designs into T-shirts, scarves , leggings, tote bags, drawstring bags, journals, and cushion covers and more. It has been so much fun to turn my art into products, and I have had quite a few sales, which has also made it fun and rewarding.
I am very grateful to live in a community where there are lots of opportunities to show my work, but my biggest break has been having my work in the Clayfire Gallery. This has really given me a boost, especially as I have had regular sales there.
Most recently I have sold Magicats,( image above) which has also been a bestseller at Redbubble.
It is so lovely to know that people in US, Uk and Australia have seen and bought my designs on leggings, scarves, tote bags, phone cases and on other product.
