Well, we are off to a running start on our next project. To use my photos of gum leaves to create a work of art in any medium or style: Do it in coloured pencil, watercolour, oils, acrylics, collage, silk, fabric art, digital, or whatever else you can dream up. Main objective is to create something original and be creative, and of course to have fun. Here are already a couple of entries, which are really cool. I'll also add my silk painting which was inspired by these colourful gum leaves. If you prefer to use other leaves for this, that's ok too, I guess. Like for instance if you are more inpired by maple leaves (if you are from Canada) that would be cool too!

Shell Challenge!
The shell challenge is still going, so if you still want to submit something send me a note with the link. Once again, for anyone who happens upon this. Create something in any medium or style based on my photo of shells. I will add it to my webpage. There is no deadline, but try to get it in as soon as you can. Thanks!

I was wondering if I should put a deadline on the project, and decided against it. Since there is no prize at the end, but just rather a fun project for anyone who wants an idea for their next project.

There have been a number of people who have decided to take up the challenge, and join in the fun. I'm hoping there are others who have decided to work on it quietly, and will come forward when it's finished.
