Unda the sea by karincharlotte Unda the sea by karincharlotte
Nothing really special, but just something that started out as a demonstration/exercise for my beginners watercolour class. I was also trying out a new Art Spectrum watercolour paper. I didn't like the paper all that much at first, but it's probably ok for some things. This is A4 size (the size of a standard letter size).

Thank you, Angela! I just popped over to your webpage, and saw so many things I loved in your gallery. Very inspiring... I came across a poem you wrote about your dad. I was about to comment on it when it just disappeared, and I couldn't find it again. Anyway, just wanted to say, how beautiful, and heartfelt. It made me think of my dad, who is also fading away. Unfortunately he is in Canada and I'm in Australia, and hope I can see him one more time. My mom also suffered from Alzheimer's. Thanks for sharing!:hug:

You are welcome Karin, and thank you for your lovely comments.

The poem has disappeared? I didn't know that ... and thank you for your lovely comments about it. I hope you get to see your Dad before he passes over. Alzheimer's is a cruel ending, not so much for the person if they were like my dad in the end as he didn't realise any more that his memory was going, he just lived in a fantasy world of his creating, it is very cruel for the family and friends who don't recognise the personality that is there and get upset that they are not recognised. :hugs:

Thanks for the kind words. I'm sure the poem is still there, but I found it kind of by accident. I'm sure it's still there, but I could not locate it at the time.
Yes, it is a cruel illness, Alzheimer's. I was spared much of the heartache, not seeing my mother in her final days, which were the worst. It was a blessing when she passed away. It put an end to her torment.
