Succulent 2 by karincharlotte Succulent 2 by karincharlotte
This is a bigger version of a succulent. I already did a similar one, much smaller. Not sure if I should stop or still work on this. I know it does need some tweaking, and maybe a bit of lifting out highlights, but man, I'm a bit sick of working on this. Somehow it always looks better in a photo.
Watercolour
1/2 sheet Arches watercolour paper.

Oh, thank you. It is now finished, and framed. It's been in a few exhibitions, but more or less ignored. I do love to paint succulents. They are such fun. :)

Well, I have also received a lot of good feedback as well, and I like it myself, so it doesn't matter too much. There is so much good art out there, so I realize that it's a bit of a lottery. You win some and you sell some. I had a big fish painting that I put into so many exhibitions, and nobody took notice, and then 4 years after I painted it, it sold for a good price.
