I did this as an exercise for teaching my beginners watercolour students about transparent colours. Also used technical pens to enhance the design.

I like this style. In Mexico they have similar looking fish, and paint designs on them. :nod:

Thanks, Sue! This was just a bit of fun, and I was testing out some new transparent colours, which came out lovely. I did kind of stuff it up a bit. I wasn't happy with the snails and shell at the bottom. I was rather surprised that a friend loved it enough to buy it, and when I originally posted it, it had lots of faves. :) :wave:
