Morning light by karincharlotte Morning light by karincharlotte
This started out as a cityscape from a lookout hill near where I live. I did this in a 2 hour session in my new painting class. I have had so many people say they love it , that I have decided not to put the city as originally planned. This is acrylics on canvas. I applied paint with brushes, palette knife, and my finger. Another technique I used was upside down painting...just so you don't think I was standing on my head while painting this, it is the photo and canvas that was upside-down.

This one reminds me of the stunning sunsets out west.
Love the colour and movement you have captured.

Upside down? Interesting. I guess the technique makes you look at the information in the image differently.
But then I like taking photos of reflections which are the mirror of what we see.

Hey Sue ! Good to hear from you. Thanks for the feedback. I was quite happy with this and it just kind of fell into place. Turning the painting upside down does help, and I plan to use that trick more often.
I love images with reflections as well. Hope you've been well. I guess you are going to also have a more relaxing schedule for the next couple of weeks, so maybe we'll have time to catch up.
