Fish (and flowers) are kind of my favorite subject for painting. This one is done in mixed media, using watercolour, acrylics, black ink and watercolour pencils. It won me a special merit award at a recent art competition.
Size or original: 22 1/2 inches X 15 1/2 inches

These fish remind me of the book "the rainbow fish" (i think it's called) which I read in primary school :P except there was only one pretty fish in the whole book and here there are many many more :)
The colours go so well together.

It almost makes me laugh, fish always look slightly clueless to me :P

Hi Flora, thanks for the comments. My first fish painting was such a hit with family and friends, and so much fun to create, that I have done many fish paintings since.
Fish are beautiful, and colourful ... and some do look a bit clueless. My first fish painting was insprired by the artist Paul Klee.
