Big Fish by karincharlotte Big Fish by karincharlotte
I finally got around to do a painting of Fancy Fish.[link] Fancy Fish is one of my most faved images. The original was only a small doodle done on cheap paper. I always wanted to do a proper painting of it. I didn't like this at first , but it is growing on me. I finished this the day before our exhibition (just in time).

It's Acrylics on canvas 100 cm x 75 cm

I'm laughing at myself right now. I thought the art looked familiar but figured you'd painted a new one like it when I saw it in my deviation piles. Lo and behold, it's one I'd already faved. I so wanted it to be a new one!

Ha, ha, sometimes I will do a small painting, and if I think it might look good big, the smaller one becomes the concept painting. Something look better big, although size doesn't really translate here on DA.

Yes, I prefer the acrylic version over the pencil one. You could make more money from the piece by making prints out of it too, if you wanted. Have you showed it any art shows?
