Aquatic Mandala by karincharlotte Aquatic Mandala by karincharlotte
I started this a while ago, when I didn't want to commit to anything serious one day. Just as a warming up exercise. Since then I've worked on it here and there. It started out as watercolour, but introduced gouage when I wanted to change parts I didn't like.
Unfortunately my scanner could not fit the whole image. It is slightly bigger than A4 size (standard letter size).
Afterwards I had a lot of fun, trying some of the filters on photoshop, with some interesting results.
This is the original. Any feedback on how to improve this is welcome. Feel free to critique.

This lovely painting somehow slipped past me, but I really love it ~ I'm a junkie for circles in art and this one is so effective! :deviation:  Cheers, Coco

Thank you, Coco! I apprciate you letting me know you like it. There is nothing like mandala making for getting the creative juices happening, so I often do them just for fun and to get inspired.

Love the way you arrange these little worlds. The shapes flow together so nicely and it makes lots of secondary patterns and textures.

Room for improvement? I hardly think so.

I always feel happy looking at your creations.

Hope 2009 brings good health and happiness to you and your family.

Hey, Sue! Always so delighted to see a comment from you. You always say the nicest things.:blowkiss:
I could use more friends like you, but then again, my head would get so big, I would not fit through the door, ha, ha.
Hope you had a lovely start to the new year, and I wish you and your family all good things for 2009. Hope to see you sometime soon.:heart:
